for other children of the seventies
Just for a minute, forget everything stressful and read this… Close your eyes and go back in time… Before the Internet… Before semi-automatics, joyriders and crack… Before SEGA or Super Nintendo… Way back… I’m talking about Hide and Seek in the park. The corner shop. Hopscotch. Butterscotch. Skipping. Handstands. Footie with an old can. Hey [...]
is it really possible to feel this rubbish?
Apparently, yes. Saw the doc today, he’s put me on 15 days of antibiotics for a sinus and bronchial infection. Apparently the antibiotics will make me grumpy and nauseated. I can’t wait. Incidentally, many people use the term “nauseous” to refer to the feeling of being nauseated – e.g. “I’m feeling nauseous”. This is incorrect. [...]
travellin’ around
4.15 Friday afternoon: 1) Can you be in Edinburgh Monday morning for 2 days? 2) Can you work Saturday? Not impressed. VAAF Bader
An initial stab at creating the VAAF HQ airbase, VAAF Bader (named after Sir Douglas Bader, the WW2 Spitfire pilot who lost his legs in a crash yet still went on to become an ace) is available here. Just drop the VAAF_YVAA folder in your FS2004/Addon Scenery folder, start FS2004, add it in the scenery [...]

A foggy night in Hood River and a car accident on the bridge. Dustoff 622 to the rescue! Landing on the roof of the Hood River Trauma Centre at night in fog is… interesting.
the secret diary of an expectant father – part 4
Cath and I have been discussing names lately. We seem to be in relatively synchronous orbits on girls’ names, despite the good wife’s occasional dalliances with exotic-sounding but inevitably tease-inducing monikers. The only suggestion of mine which has been vetoed unhesitatingly has been “Myfatherhasagun” which I thought might be useful when she started to date. [...]
long time no blog
So, what’s been happening? Well, we’ve had some visitors – Dad and Lyn were over for a week or so and Lucy Prior camped with us also for a week just recently. A good time was had by all, including a day trip to Bath with Lucy in the super truck. Otherwise, we’re down to [...]
