assignment scores and a big doh

Got my M301 TMA2 results today: 85%. I somehow managed to miss out an answer to the last part of the last question, resulting in a loss of 8%, which would have taken me (I suppose) to 91-93% – DOH. Still, the tutor said this was an excellent mark despite the missed out question. Will [...]

uni again

82% for my second chem assignment. Not overly impressed, but the tutor said it was an excellent effort, so I assume the rest of the course found it difficult too.

“People who smoke around children should be harpooned”. Who was this? Some fascist right-wing neo-nazi brigade? Some rabid mothers activist group? No, it was my own delicate flower, my lovely and tolerant wife :) I laughed for about ten minutes.

a busy weekend

It’s been a busy week, topped off with a busy weekend. Work has been increasingly time-consuming, as the project nears delivery, and I’ve been putting in several late nights. It’s a bit easier to handle them when I get paid for overtime though :) Cath has also been working long hours, with various time-consuming tasks [...]
