So, this is what I’ve done so far at RBS: – written a guide to implementing JUnit and Cactus with test-driven development – set up my dev environment to connect to CICS/COBOL on the ZOS mainframe – read a thousand pieces of documentation Next week: – implement CICS adapters – finish my Ant scripts to [...]
Started my new contract on Monday. Good fun so far, championing XP and test-driven development, as well as mentoring junior developers. Good to be a code poet again :) Very restrictive environment though; limited net access and no MSN…
Today would have been Tim’s 27th birthday. In another world, about now I’d be picking up the phone to give him a call, hoping that I woke him up with a hangover :) Think I’ll call Dad and Lucy instead.

Who would have thought that anyone outside my immediate family and vexatious litigants would actually read this rubbish? Anyways, the [...]
It has come to my attention that certain people have been following this blog, hoping to pick up dirt for a dispute involving my employer. Guys, if the best case you can make is based on the personal (and not always objective or accurate) opinions on this site, you’ve not really got much to go [...]
